UAIX.org corrected the AI Memory Package Wizard and Project Handoff guidance so `.uai/` is the canonical local project-memory root. The corrected setup expects a useful typed `.uai` suite rather than one or two thin files.

Current UAIX guidance says not to create a separate memory folder, wiki folder, or scattered Markdown notes by default. If older memory exists, agents should review it, move current working facts into `.uai/short-term-memory.uai` or the appropriate typed `.uai/*.uai` record, preserve durable reviewed material in the long-term wiki/archive, record what moved, and remove or clearly retire the confusing path.

Older AIWikis records that describe legacy separate memory-folder layouts as UAIX wizard output are superseded historical evidence. They are not current UAIX guidance.
