How To Build an LLM Wiki

LLMWikis.org recommends building in layers. AIWikis.org follows that advice in this project.
Build Sequence
- Define scope. Name what the wiki covers and what it does not cover.
- Create the starter structure. Add README, INDEX, governance, trust model, contribution rules, changelog, source policy, agent rules, operations, decisions, and onboarding pages.
- Add metadata and trust labels. Include owner, status, trust level, source status, review cadence, audience, sensitivity, agent use, and human-review rules.
- Seed authoritative pages. Start with glossary, system overview, decision log, open questions, runbooks, AI usage policy, retrieval guide, citation rules, update rules, and safety boundaries.
- Establish review workflows. Assign owners and approval rules before agents rely on pages.
- Define the custodian contract. Name what the AI may ingest, edit, cite, lint, graph, and archive.
- Connect retrieval and search only after source curation. Retrieval should consume governed source material, not replace it.
Practical Rule
A small reviewed folder with clear metadata is more useful than a large unowned knowledge platform.
Next Useful Routes
- Start Here A task-first reading path for AIWikis.org, separating newcomer learning, source-memory lookup, maintainer workflow, and AI-agent retrieval.
- Topic Index A tag-oriented index for LLM Wiki, AI memory, UAI, source governance, crawling, and retrieval topics.
- Source Map AIWikis source-governed page for durable AI memory, evidence routing, and agent-readable retrieval.
- Organization Memory Global organization namespace for shared AIWikis guidance and cross-site operating rules.
